Wells Gray Guest Ranch

We stayed at the ranch with our RV for a total of three nights and didn’t want to leave. Upon arrival we were given many recommendations for things to do in the area all of which we did and they were fantastic experiences. The ranch itself is a great and authentic experience, the staff is friendly and easy to have a chat with. The RV site was good and quiet. We also did a horseback ride and Elvira and the guide (Jessica) gave us a thorough introduction. As complete beginners we felt very safe and were able to fully enjoy the experience. The horses were amazing and one can feel the passion Elvira has for them. We want to go back in winter to see the ranch with snow. A fantastic place to stay in Wells Gray with many things to do close by.

My wife and I spent two nights here and we absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, the welcome from Daniel, Elvira and their staff was exceptional. My wife did the horse riding while I went off to do a river trip. The ranch was ideally placed to experience and explore the area. Accommodation was clean and comfortable. Food in the Black Horse Saloon was homely and delicious and the beer was lovely and cold. I would absolutely recommend a stay at this place to connect you with the peace and quiet of nature, and the hosts were super friendly, helpful and welcoming.

Right from the time my daughter and I arrived, the exceptional experience began. The owners showed us to our room and made sure that everything was to our liking. Breath taking views, peace and tranquility would be an understatement. The meals were exquisite, and large portion with saloon atmosphere. The rooms were large and surpassed in cleanliness. Horseback riding up the trails to look down the guest ranch was phenomenal. Lunch served on top of the mountain with ours horses close by. We had the good fortune to stay here recently. I was booked in to a tent site, and with rain in the forecast I was expecting to get wet that evening. After being shown our tenting location I inquired about one of the nearby smaller cabins on the property and was pleasantly surprised that it was available. I paid the difference from my tenting fee and I was a happy camper! The hosts were pleasant and informative and the grounds are huge. There is a saloon on the grounds(beer, wine or coolers) and you can reserve for dinner(we didn't but it was roast beef with all the fixings) There are showers and both small cabins, cabins with bunks and larger ones with fridge, stove,tv etc. Everything is spotless. There is also a large field for tenting and an area for RVs as well. I would come back for sure!

Nice family owned ranch in great and convenient location within Wells gray provincial park. Hot showers and clean amenities. It is privately owned and they go by their strict rules, they do not allow camp fires, even though everything was soaking wet for weeks, regional fire risk was low and there was no regional fire ban. Which was disappointing and should be mentioned before booking. Overall we had a good stay but we won't be coming back.

Me and my family stayed here in our RV as a stop to break up the journey to Jasper! What a gorgeous spot! Just beautiful! Facilities were great and super clean! As we left to visit some of the local spots in Wells Grey, we ended up with a tyre puncture in our RV! We headed back to the ranch and the hosts were so accommodating! Allowing us to use their phone due to not being able to use our mobiles to ring multiple places to help try and sort the issue! We couldn’t thank them enough for their hospitality during a stressful time! Thank you again for a lovely stay and for being so accommodating!

Our stay at the guest ranch was awesome. The owners are very friendly and make you feel right at home. The rooms were very clean, cozy and the beds were comfortable. A great escape to the wilderness and great time to disconnect. Our family enjoyed all this place has to offer including horseback riding, the food, the view and all the great animals on the ranch. I highly recommend the ranch to anyone looking to get away and escape.....Great Place!

Our family of 3 recently visited the Wells Gray Guest Ranch and we were blown away by their hospitality. We stayed in the Standard Cabin and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The cabin was neat, extremely clean and well equipped with basic amenities that made our stay very comfortable. The location of the ranch is very close to the provincial park, making it easy to access all the major tourist spots. The ranch provides horseback riding which was a major hit with our 5 year old daughter. Marina, who handled the horse for our daughter was extremely caring and made the 1st horseback riding a unique experience for our daughter. We would highly recommend this activity regardless of whether you are a kid or an adult. The owners Daniel and Elvira are extremely caring of their guests and make it a point to make it a truly enriching experience. We recommend trying the food at the Saloon within the ranch, the quality of the food and the hospitality of the hosts are second to none. Thank you Daniel and Elvira for making it such a peaceful and relaxing stay for us!
